Do you have a studio location?
No, Splash Lab Experience is currently a traveling event service servicing the New Jersey area. We bring all the fun to YOUR location!

How many children do I need to book?
We have a minimum of 10 children.

What age range is Splash Lab Experience appropriate for?
Depending on the specific activity chosen 4 and up.

Can I still book an event if I don't meet the minimum amount of participants required?
​
Absolutely! But, the price will remain at the minimum amount for the event. (10 participants)
​

How early do you arrive on the day of my party?
​
We arrive 30 minutes prior to have everything set up before scheduled party time!
​
How long is my event?
​
The duration of your event depends on the specific package chosen and the amount of guests. Standard time frame is between 1 hour to 2 hours long.

I'm not sure how many kids I am going to have, when do you need the final count?
That's fine! We can always adjust the invoice with the participant count as the event approaches. At least 1 week prior to event and no later that 48 hours to event. We want to make sure we prepare accordingly! :-)

What’s included in my package? Do I need to provide anything?
​
We provide EVERYTHING needed for your chosen craft! Yes, Everything including the aprons! All you need to provide is the space, the guests and we handle the rest! We also provide the necessary table/seating arrangements to make your party planning that much easier, just be sure to let us know! :-)

When should I start the Splash Lab Entertainment?
​
Event time should be scheduled to start when the guests have had time to arrive, say their hellos and put their gifts down. This will prevent wasted time where the creARTive Instructor is doing nothing while the guests are settling in or if they are on the later side. A courtesy 25 min window will be granted in the event that your party is running behind but please advise in advance to best accommodate your Splash Lab Experience.

What if it rains?
​
We are prepared to show up rain or shine! If there is inclement weather we offer tents! We can provide 10x10 pop up canopy tents for $25.00 per tent. **two tables can fit under each tent** If you are booking during the rainy months, please have an indoor location available. (i.e. garage, basement etc.) If preferred, we can reschedule for the next available date as our deposit is non-refundable.

Should we tip our entertainer?
​
If you feel your creative instructor has delivered exceptional service, then absolutely! 15% is a standard tip. A generous tip would be 20% and over. Tip can be paid in cash or added with your remaining balance.

What counties do you service?

Please note: A travel fee may apply. Travel fees are based on the availability and distance from your area. Please email us to confirm an exact estimate on your location.

Do you travel outside of North Jersey?
If you are located in South Jersey, Central Jersey, New York, Connecticut or Pennsylvania we have a travel charge starting at $74.00+. We will make sure you are aware of this fee before booking so it is not hidden.
Please contact us directly for an exact estimate. Distances 2 hours away require a minimum of $350.00.

Do you provide chairs and tables?
Yes, we will be happy to provide tables and chairs if needed, please advise upon booking.

Note: amount of tables/chairs needed are based off event size/participant count.
Chairs and tables rented are only for the event/time frame scheduled and cannot be used after event is over.

Does time hired include set up?
​
The set up time will not be charged! We come early to be sure to be ready for the scheduled party time.

Do I still have to pay for guests who aren't able to make it?
You will be contacted 2 days prior to your party for a final headcount. Please be advised that you will be charged full price for your final headcount given even if a child does not show up day your party.

Can we have our event indoors?
​
Absolutely! We set up making sure to cover surrounding areas to prevent messes, clean up after the event is over and all creARTive instructors are required to wear masks throughout the entire event regardless of vaccination status.

What do I wear?
We will provide you with an apron to protect your clothes. But, please be mindful that since you are working with paint and/or dyes, you may still get some on your clothing. Please dress accordingly.

How do I pick the art piece that will be painted?
We will be happy to help you choose a custom image for your special event that you will love! A flower? a cupcake? a puppy? or unicorn? abstract? tape art? the options are endless! Please call us or email for more details.

Do I need to be artistic to participate?
NOPE! Regardless of your level of experience, Everyone has an “artistic” side! Splash Lab insures FUN! Our artist are trained to help everyone create a piece of art that they will be proud of. We take you step-by-step through the painting and/or tie dying and are available to assist you if you want it.

Do you have a privacy policy?

We do not share your information to any third parties.

What kind of paints are you using? Will they be dry to bring home?
Acrylic paints. Paintings are typically dry within 10/15 minutes of application.

Are you flexible with ages?
​
Absolutely! Every child develops uniquely. If you have questions about whether a specific theme will meets your child’s needs, contact us.

What kind of materials do you use?
​
All materials are chosen to be developmentally appropriate. For children under 6, all materials are non- toxic and chosen to safely engage their senses. we sometimes use grown- up materials like Sharpie markers and hot glue guns to improve the quality of the work. These materials give us an opportunity to discuss safety, and develop respect and responsibility for materials.
